Collaborative Solutions COVID-19 Protocol
Collaborative Solutions continually monitors and updates its COVID responses as the Director of Nursing and the Clinical Director monitor state, county, and organizational data to determine the appropriate response to the current level of threat that COVID-19 poses. These are very rigorous guidelines that will adapt to changing conditions. In addition, these basic monitoring, screening and preventative measures are maintained regardless of the changing responses based on threats including:
- Screening of all staff and visitors (when visitors are permitted) at the front door
- Mandatory hand-sanitizing at the front door
- Mandatory physical distancing of 6 feet or more for everyone
- Frequent handwashing/hand-sanitizing by staff and residents
- Frequent disinfection of shared touch surfaces in the residences
- Masking by staff and residents when in a vehicle or when 6 feet distance can’t be maintained in an enclosed space
- The use of disposable plates and utensils
- Ongoing compilation and review of the COVID prevention monitoring indices developed by John and the PM group
- Quarantine and testing of any presumptive positive resident; any symptomatic staff member or visitor will be denied entry to the facility pending review by the Director of Nursing;
- Regardless of level: any presumptive positive staff will be screened by the DON and may be placed on leave until a negative test is obtained; prospective new staff members will be screened for risk; and any new admissions will require a negative test before arriving.
- Daily monitoring by Director of Nursing and Care and Clinical Director of case status at state, county, and organizational levels to determine appropriate response.
